Bed wetting and lifting schedules

bedwet5Sometimes in an effort to help a child with bed wetting one could consider setting clocks or alarms for different times at night. A child will then wake up – or be woken up by parents – to go to the toilet to urinate. This is also referred to as a lifting schedule. While there is a good chance that the bed will stay dry, this type of schedule has a very low success rate. In the majority of cases a child starts wetting the bed again when he isn’t woken up anymore.
