The Coach (Coalition of Anglican Children’s Homes) is comprised out of an amalgamation of three children’s homes, namely that of:

• St Georges Home,
• St Joseph’s Home
• and St Nicolas home

The children are placed in the care of Coalition of Anglican Children’s Homes (Coach) with a court order from the Children’s Court; which means that the child was found to be in need of care as per the Children’s Act.

In these children’s homes (St Nicolas and St Joseph’s Home), there are currently 30 children to be found living, and in the youth care centre (St George’s Home), approximately 23 youth.

This brings the total children and youth in our care to 53.

St Nicolas/St Joseph’s home

• Children come to the homes battered and abused and with little or no hope for the future.
• The children are provided not only with a home, but so too with a family, food, education and love.
• These children’s homes are not traditional orphanages but works with the goal of reuniting children with their families within a two year period.

St George’s Home

• St Georges’ Home is a residential life skills development programme established to assist youth aged 16 to 18.
• This children’s home aims to equip youths who are trapped in the welfare system with skills required to become fully integrated into mainstream society.
